Treats for dogs with food sensitivities and skin conditions

Because dogs with skin conditions or food sensitivities also need an occasional treat, at Hill's, nutritionists and veterinarians have developed special treats for dogs on Prescription Diet® d/d® and z/d® ULTRA.

Where To Buy

Key Benefits

  • Hydrolyzed proteins to alleviate adverse reactions to food
  • Increased omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, including EPA, help to nourish the skin and coat
  • Added antioxidants to help support skin barrier function

Feeding Guide

Daily Feeding Guide:

Helpful Tips

  • Up to 10% of the daily energy needs can be met by feeding these treats while still maintaining an appropriate nutrient profile to aid in the management of the underlying disease. To ensure maximum effectiveness of the Prescription Diet brand dog food, limit Hypo-Treats to 10% or less of the dog's daily energy intake.
  • Can be fed to pets on Prescription Diet z/d, d/d and i/d pet foods, as well as healthy dogs.
  • Prescription Diet Canine Hypoallergenic Treats are intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only.
  • To prevent suffocation, keep this plastic bag out of the reach of pets and children.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dog thinks this product is yummy My veterinarian has the Hypo-Treats on his bills clerk's desk. The clerk actually came from behind her counter and gave our puppy a treat for being so good. The pup sat at attention and waited for more; which she promptly attended to his demands. I bought a bag and bribe him now to sit, jump, rollover, stay, speak, sing, bark, lay down, and come....All at the age of three months. The best thing about the "treat", it is GOOD for my new little family member!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more baking our own treats! Before Hills Science came out with this product, we were taking their canned z/d food and spooning it onto baking sheets and baking to make our own dog treats. I can't express how thankful I am that I no longer have to spend my time and electricity on making dog treats! These are soooooo convenient and in a nice resealable bag! My dog loves the flavor! Since we give her treats after her meal, she will now sit by the cupboard until she gets her treat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hills Prescription Diet Hyo-Treats An excellent product and the only treat I give my dog with digestive issues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for a treat My dog has always been used to receiving a treat when he comes in from outside. Since his allergies, I have had to get the Hills Prescription Hypoallergenic treats. They are fairly large for my miniature poodle so I break them in half and give him 1/2 at a time. He gets picky sometimes and likes a little of the Hills Prescription ZD wet dog food spread on the treat.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Size of treats My 100lb chocolate Labrador has many food allergies which result in horrible ear infections. He is now restricted to only these treats and the Z/D Ultra. While the ear infections have cleared up dramatically, I wish the treats came in larger sizes. Sometimes my lab has trouble biting into them because they are so small in his huge mouth. I'm afraid one of these days he will swallow one whole.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Happy! My Bichon is allergic to just about everything. She is on the Duck & Potato diet and that was all she could have. We were so happy when we found she could have these treats. They are a perfect size for her and she gets very excited when she can have one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dog loves these treats! My dog has skin allergies and cannot eat any products related to fowl. He loves the hypo-treats and never has any issues with pruritis with these treats. I highly recommend them for those dogs with skin allergies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gotta have a biscuit! You want to treat your dog with a good crunchy biscuit. Having one available that is compatible with a 'hypo-allergenic' diet is fabulous!
